Saladin is an open source dual-pane file manager which merges the capabilities of Windows Explorer with the well known and easy to use orthodox user interface.

Its simple interface allows you to quickly navigate and perform usual operations on your files and folders.

Here are some key features of "Saladin":

· Dual pane user interface known from many traditional file managers (sometimes called orthodox file managers or commanders). Such interface makes working with files much easier and faster because you can see both the source and the target directory and you can easily select files to copy or move.

· Full Windows Shell integration for standard icons, contextual menus and drag and drop operations. Most file operations (copying, moving, deleting, etc.) are also implemented using standard Windows functionality for simplic ity and consistency.

· Integrated file viewer which can display text files using any encoding (including Unicode and East Asian scripts), binary files and most common image formats (including PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, and SVG).

· Support for ZIP archives which can be browsed just like regular directories. Files can be packed and unpacked using regular copy operations. Support for other archive types is possible by using an external tool with Windows Shell integration.

· Basic support for FTP connections which allows to connect to an FTP server using the Windows built-in client and download and upload files and perform other basic file operations.
