GPS Port Checker is a convenient tool that allows you to detect the port used by a connected GPS device. It is designed to listen to the ports sequentially and to detect incoming NMEA data signals.

It can detect Garmin or Magellan devices connected on one of the USB or serial ports on your computer. The GPS must be turned on in order to broadcast NMEA data when probing the ports.
