WindowSMART is a useful application that permanently monitors the health of your hard and removable drives, in order to avoid any problem that might occur.
The program uses the Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART), thus being able to report the hard disk health condition to the user. The SMART analysis can reveal various disk attributes, such as the running time, the possible bad sectors, temperature etc.
The supported disks include IDE, SATA and eSATA hard drives and SSDs (any disks attached to USB and FireWire (IEEE 1394), as long as the PC is on). Disks configured as arrays on a hardware RAID adapter cannot be analyzed.
WindowSMART can run as a Windows service, in order to collect information about each disk, notify you if there is any problem and suggest solutions. It can notify you via e-mail, Prowl (iOS) or Notify My Android.
