FWTools is a collection of applications designed to help the users that deal with GIS data and need to view or to convert various raster or vector files. The applications can be accessed in command line mode or by using the FWTools Shell console.

The package includes the OpenEV, GDAL, MapServer, PROJ.4 and OGDI applications along with the python components required by some of them.
