TrueConf Server is a video conferencing server. Both server and client applications help to set up multi-user video conferencing system through a LAN or the Internet.
The software is tailored to work with a large number of online users and makes it possible to hold up to 90 participants in single video conference. To set up a video conference in a corporate network, you will not need expensive equipment as TrueConf Server videoconferencing server does not convert video streams.
TrueConf Server has low channels requirements due to a unique video codec and transport levels, which prevents server CPU overload. This means that any modern PC with a dual core processor and Hyper Threading technology can be used as server. We have collected many feedbacks from our users in the recent years.
Many of them have been implemented in TrueConf Serverr by our experts. All of this allowed us to make VCS a really impr essive and fully functional video conferencing solution.
Here are some key features of "TrueConf Server (formerly VideoPort VCS)":
· Personal video calls.
· Multipoint video conferences for up to 16 participants;
· Video meetings for up to 90 participants;
· Video lectures and broadcasts for distance learning and remote tutoring;
· Rich collaboration tools (instant messaging, file transfer, slide shows and presentations, desktop sharing, conference recordings, white board).
Requirements:
· Pentium 4 processor
· 20 MB on disk
· Internet connection
Limitations:
· 14 days trial. You can extend your trial period upon request;
· Number of on-line users connected to the server is limited to 9;
· Your trial server has to be connect to the Internet all the time (NAT connections are supported, Proxy not supported) using TCP 4310 port for license information exchange. Only information regarding server start and registration is transfered, along with anonymous usage statistics. Full version doesn't require such connection;
· User database is pre-filled with fixed logins and passwords;
· Video conference duration is limited to 15 minutes. No more than 4 simultaneous conferences is allowed on the trial server;
· Video conferencing modes available in trial version:
· Personal video call;
· Multipoint video conference (everyone see and hear each other) for up to 9 participants;
· Video lecture (host sees everyone, parties see only host) for up to 9 participants;
· Video meeting (any two participants along with a host can be seen and heard by all others) for up to 9 participants;
· File transfer in video call;
· White board in video call;
· Recording;
· Chat;
· Slide show and presentations;
· Desktop sharing.
